I was messing around with loops, audio samples, from Logic Pro. I came up with a song which had no name. I been through the desert on a song with no name. After some soul searching and after use of narcotics as well as freshly killed salmon, I came up with this song. I guess I wrote it, even though I must give props to whoever put those loops in Logic. There are thousands and thousands of loops. Like a circle jerk perhaps. I dunno. Anyhow, I wanted to do a song about New Years which might appeal to the masses, rather than appealing just to me, selfish bastard that I am. I reserve the right to change this song, to update, remix, reconfigure, replace, revive, re-invigorate it- at a time and place of my choosing. Eat me.
Snow in Chicago. I captured it on digital media.
It is what it is. A collaboration. Music by Edwardo, the Godfather of contributors to Chicago radio. Idea by Edwardo. All I did was dress up like an Iraqi, throw some shoes, and make the video! To the tune of Boogie Shoes by KC and the Sunshine Band.
The premier episode of This Week In News, by Avrahim Achmed Muhammed. A possibly weekly newscast with Iraqi flavor and Jihad stylings. My accent, as well as the production quality will improve, provided I am not slaughtered by the infidels.
Inspired by another classic Cub collapse. "Waiting on the Cubs to Change" ©2008 Adam Simon and Howard Segal. Based on the song "Waiting on the World to Change" ©2006 John Mayer.

Excerpt aired 10/6/08. Johnny must have received many many songs about the Cubs, and we were honored to hear ours. Hopefully he will play more of it eventually: he did keep it going for awhile while he talked which is not usual! And he laughed at our chorus! As you will hear though, he was enthralled with another ridiculous song- a stupid and bad one- which is beginning to grow on me. It is so funny because it was meant to be serious. But- honored I am to have now 13 months in a row with at least part of a song aired on the radio. It is fun!
In 1945, the last time the Cubs appeared in the World Series, Billy Goat tavern owner Sam Siannis attempted to bring a Goat into Wrigley field. When he was not allowed to do so, he put a Curse on the Cubs- that they would never again win a world series.
Until last night, I thought the Curse was nonsense. But when you think about it: 1969, 1984, 2003, 2008 (the years we should have at least gone to the World Series) all involved rather dramatic collapses.
I hate to be negative about anything, but I am convinced that the Cubs will never be able to get to the World Series in my lifetime. It's okay- there are more important things in life than sports! Plus now I can write songs making fun of the disaster that is The Cubs.
My weekend music project:
"Waiting on the Cubs to Change"
music by John Mayer
lyrics by Adam Simon and Howard Segal
Me and my friends, we all misunderstood
We thought that they would do it, we thought that they were good
Now we see sloppy baseball playing, man it sure is lame
And we're crying in our beer, as the Cubs go down in flames
So we keep waiting- waiting on the Cubs to change (x2)
It really is the worst, when you know that they are Cursed
So we keep waiting- waiting on the Cubs to change
When they hired Lou Piniella, we all thought he was the fella
Who would change the way they played the game, but it was more of the same
So what's it gonna take to end this hundred year heartbreak
Might have to take a goat on a boat, and throw that goat in the lake
See- something good can come from something yucky. Sigh.
