Cubs Love song was swirling around in my head for the past 3 weeks. I wanted to make it sound like the real song, but I just couldn't do it with a shuffle type beat. I used a more funky beat, less piano, an approximation of acoustic guitar and banjo, some chord alterations and then the whole thing turned into Sweet Lou at about 1:43. I like my Sweet Lou (below) better than my Love Song, but young Sara Bareilles deserves credit for both! I am so sorry, Carlos Zambrano, Ted Lilly, Rich Hill and others for not including you in this song. Big Z will get a song of his own later in the season, don't fret.

Since that time I have not heard Mr. Movie Phone on the air (as of 4/21/08). Did this song kill Mr. Movie Phone?
No- he must have taken some time off. He came back 4/24/08. Whew!
Disclaimer: It is true that I had my niece and nephew say the word crap and turd on this song. They are good kids who know not to repeat these words in mixed company. Besides, turd and crap are harmless unless ingested orally. Both words are legal on public broadcast media. If you have complaints, too bad. Get off my site.
