Johnny B Mix Fix

Johnny B Mix Fix
"Johnny B" mix fix is a Tribute to Jonathan Brandmeier. Written and performed by Howard Segal with Master Logic P. Special thanks to Eric Paul Johnson for providing all the dates/facts and to Adam Simon for the word "nearly". Written and recorded Feb 8- Feb 10 2008. Yes that is Mortimer on 2 tracks at the end. Mortimer is my elderly, emphysematic alter ego. I love him and sometimes i talk in his voice just for my own amusement or to ward off telemarketing calls. His mere existence makes me wonder about my own sanity. My wife is right...I am disturbed, This remix includes no new recordings- only adjustments of existing tracks and removal of a track in the 3rd verse that was corrupted by our furnace. It was 2 degrees fahrenheit that day. Freaking furnace. Song was submitted 2/10/08. Johnny's last show in Phoenix was 2/9/83 I believe. His first scheduled day on WLUP was 2/13/83. Without knowing it, I created this song on the 25th anniversary of a major transition in the Rooster's career. Truth or fiction? Truth I tells ya, ye naysayer. All this is well and good, and I like my song here, but alas it shall likely never be played on air for Johnny prefers not to go down memory lane or memory avenue apparently.
